Nuclear Talks On Right Track: MP

Tehran, Oct 22, IRNA – An Iranian lawmaker said Tuesday that Iran's negotiations with the West are on the right track, calling for continuation of the talks. Ahmad Shohani, a member of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission said that the majority of Iranian MPs support the course of talks with the six world powers. The lawmakers are sure that in the course of talks, national interests are protected and red lines are not crossed, he said. The other side has now come to the conclusion that the sanctions have failed to fulfill their goals in order to paralyze Iran and they know that it is impossible to return to the previous conditions, the legislator said. He noted that there are people on both sides who do not want negotiations to yield fruits. However he said issues that may be raised by certain people are not official views of their governments. Shohani said that channels through which governments announce their official stands are crystal clear./end
