Number of documents to be signed at SCO, BRICS summit in Ufa

UFA, July 7. /TASS/. A number of documents are planned to be signed at the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and BRICS summits in Ufa, Russia, an adviser to the Russian president said on Tuesday. Among them will be the Ufa declaration and the economic partnership strategy until 2020, Anton Kobyakov said. "The leaders will consider the trade, economic, and investment roadmap drafted by Russia, which includes 50 business projects on energy, mineral, manufacturing, engineering industries and agriculture," Kobyakov said. He added that the united SCO-BRICS format will help promote a joint agenda within the G20 framework. He also said that 14 statements will be issued following the SCO summit. According to Kobyakov, a new SCO secretary general, a representative of Tajikistan, will be appointed at the summit to replace the current SCO chief, Dmitry Mezentsev. Read more
