Official: Speedy Development Of Prioritized Phases Of S.Pars Field

Tehran, Oct 2, IRNA – Development projects of prioritized South Pars gas fields must be accelerated and this a strategic priority is in need of new planning, proper decision making, and solid, standardized and time-bound operation, said a deputy oil minister Tuesday. “Achieving such a huge amount of defined objectives for the oil industry in South Pars gas field is in need of a strategic mentality and goal orientation of the entire activities based on a precise time schedule, and in doing so the method for implementing the mega-scale projects in this shared field must be precisely scrutinized,” said Deputy Oil Minister and Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Company Roknoddin Javadi. He pointed out the importance of establishing brisk organizations, particularly within the companies with axis role in implementing the projects aimed at rapid progress in implementing the program, saying, “In this new management era, the oil industry is improved based on plan-axis policies, in addition to the acceleration of the process of executive works and the development projects.” Javadi said, “The role and effectiveness of the type of decision making in the fields of management, saying that delays in choosing and in special decision making on major projects in addition to commercial and economic loss, leads to the emergence of unpredicted variables that lower the progress of the organization in a broad sphere and confrontation with serious obstacles.” The NIOC managing director emphasized the old and new phases of South Pars field must proceed, saying, “The executive work at the new phases, called the 35-month projects, would continue and the work plans would be devised in the future, appropriate with the existing possibilities and the defined priorities.” He added, “As the oil minister has emphasized, phases 12, 15, 16, 17 and 18 have priority for reaching production phase in shortest possible time and their gas products should be delivered to the internal gas networks and be at the disposal of the country’s exports.” Javadi reiterated, “The NIOC would in accordance with the program allocate a major part of the financial assets of this field to old and new development plans.”/end
