Officials, MPs to debrief Zarif on Lausanne N-talks

TEHRAN, Apr. 05 (MNA) – Iran’s FM Javad Zarif is set to attend a session at the National Security Commission as well as the Parliament to deliver a report on Lausanne nuclear talks. National Security and Foreign Policy Parliamentary Commission Spokesman MP Hossein Naghavi Hosseini told Mehr News correspondent that Zarif and a number of his deputies are scheduled to attend a session at the committee today at 13:45 Tehran time to deliver a report on Lausanne nuclear negotiations. The Committee will also review the plan that obliges the government to preserve its nuclear achievements and rights. The plan asserts that in case of any new sanctions by the Unites States (be it the government, the Congress or the Senate), Iran is required to immediately render ineffective the Joint Plan of Action (24 November 2013) and take particular measures within the framework of NPT to ensure the realization of the country’s nuclear rights. Some of these measures include ‘the activation of enrichment facilities without any limitations in the number of centrifuges or the level of enrichment according to article 4 of NPT’; ‘production of the country’s required nuclear fuel’; and ’20 percent enrichment in Fordow nuclear facility’. Zarif will also attend a session at Iran's Parliament during this week to brief the MPs on Lausanne statement regarding Iran and the 5+1 nuclear talks, said Behrouz Nemati, a member of the Parliament. According to Nemati, it is still undecided whether the session would be open or not.
