Ogtay Asadov: Armenia continues to conduct aggressive policy

Baku, April 30 AZERTAC Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov has met with Foreign Minister of Malta George William Vella. The Speaker said Azerbaijan was interested in developing relations with Malta. Mr. Asadov said boosting cooperation with the European countries has important place in the country`s foreign policy. “There are wide opportunities for deepening economic cooperation between the two countries.” The Speaker highlighted the recent developments in the line of contacts, adding there still exist opportunities for peaceful settlement of the conflict within the territorial integrity and international laws. Mr. Asadov said: “For this purpose, the international organizations and separate states should increase the efforts” He noted Armenia continues to conduct aggressive policy ignoring the resolutions and decisions by UN Security Council and OSCE. The Speaker said Armenian armed forces fire on civilians, residential and public buildings on the frontier regions. George William Vella noted he supported just settlement of the conflict within the international laws. Speaking about works carried out by the OSCE, he assessed the negotiations process as a solution of the conflict. They exchanged views on prospects of development of inter-parliamentary ties, settlement of the regional conflicts, cooperation in various fields.
