OIC Extraordinary Summit Starts In Mecca

Mecca, Saudi Arabia, Aug 15, IRNA – The extraordinary summit meeting of Organization of Islamic cooperation (OIC) started its work with a speech by King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia here on Tuesday evening. Syria, Palestine and helping Myanmar Muslims are on the agenda of the meeting. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad accompaied by his senior advisor Seyed Mojtaba Samare Hashemi, Minister of Science, Research and Technology Kamran Daneshjo, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyed Mohammad Hosseini, Minister of Road and Urban Planning Ali Nikzad, Minister of Cooperative, Labor and Social Welfare Abdolreza Sheikholeslam, Vice-President in Executive Affairs Hamid Baqaei, and Head of Presidential Office Esfandiar Rahim-Mashaei are participating in the OIC meeting. OIC has 57 members and the meeting lasts until Wednesday evening./end
