OIC SG Ihsanoglu issues statement on 20th anniversary of Khojaly Massacre

JEDDAH (A.A) - February 27, 2012 - In a statement issued to mark the 20th anniversary of the Khojaly Massacre, the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu praised those who lost lives in the massacre. Ihsanoglu, in his statement, reminded that hundreds of innocent Azerbaijanis were massacred by Armenian troops in Khojaly on February 25, 1992. In a meeting held in Kazakhstan in 2011, OIC Foreign Ministers took a decision to refer to the Khojaly Massacre as a "crime against humanity", Ihsanoglu stressed. We offer condolences to the families of the victims in Khojaly. OIC's efforts to end the occupation on Azerbaijani territory will continue, Ihsanoglu also said.
