Oman, Iran Ties Brotherly And Historical: Omani Scholar

Bushehr, March 11, IRNA – The Iran-Oman relations are brotherly and historical, the Omani Sultan’s special envoy to “Bushehr, Basra, Muscatˈ International conference Doctor Salim Bin Baamr said on Sunday. Addressing the “Bushehr, Basra, Muscatˈ International conference’s participants, he noted that Iran and Oman are two influential countries of the region which are not only close geographically but also close in terms of culture, history, economy and politics. Meanwhile, Bushehrˈs Friday prayers Gholamali Safaei Bushehri underlined in this conference that Muslim countries should break the world arrogant powers’ scientific monopoly which impedes the way of Muslim countries to progress forward in strategic sciences. “Regional countries should be united towards dominant powers; Iran, Iraq and Oman as three littoral states of the Persian Gulf can have a major role on the future regional, international developments.” The two-day International conference of ˈBushehr, Basra, and Muscatˈ opened in Persian Gulf University of Bushehr with cooperation of Iranˈs Foreign Ministry and universities of Basra and Sultan Qaboos on Sunday. The previous conference between universities of Basra and Bushehr, by the presence of the professors from universities of Basra, Tehran and Bushehr was held in 2012. The aim of the conference is to expand the historical and social relations of the universities and to honor the name of Persian Gulf and boost the cooperation among the people and universities of the region. Professors from Turkey, France, Netherlands and Japan participated in the conference and Iranian, Iraqi and Omani scholars would give speeches. ˈThe historical maritime trade between Basra, Bushehr and Muscatˈ, ˈArt, Architecture, social, cultural and historical cooperation between these three citiesˈ are some of the technical sessions of the two-day conference./end
