Oscar-winning Iranian Filmmaker: Stop The Killing In Gaza

Tehran, Aug 3, IRNA - Oscar-winning Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi has asked international organizations to stop Israelˈs heinous crimes in the Gaza Strip. “Israel’s action in Gaza is of a dictatorial nature and I hope the killings will stop very soon,” Farhadi said in a meeting with a large group of Iranian cineastes held at the Tehran Blood Transfusion Center (TBTC) on Saturday. Farhadi was in the TBTC to donate blood for the victims of Israelˈs brutal bombardments in the Gaza Strip. “As a member of the Iranian House of Cinema, I have a great deal of sympathy for people of Gaza deep in my heart, so I have attended this humanitarian gathering,” he stated. Iranian artists and cineastes have organized several meetings over the past three weeks to show their solidarity with the Gazans./end
