OSCE mission in southern Russia may be extended for over 3 months

ROSTOV-ON-DON, July 30 (Itar-Tass) - The OSCE mission in Russia’s southern Rostov region will be extended for more than three months, if all 57 OSCE member states take a specific decision, chief of the OSCE mission in Rostov region Paul Picard told reporters on Wednesday. In his words, four people are already working in the region and a full group of 15 observers will be gathered soon. It was earlier reported about 13 OSCE members who will come in the region. “We will be monitoring border-crossing points Gukovo and Donetsk, we will have several teams who will be on round-the-clock duty at border checkpoints by two observers,” Picard said. He said with hope that a full team would meet in the region already in a few days. Meanwhile, the OSCE mission head noted that arrival of OSCE members in four days after taking a specific decision “it is very quickly.” Learn more on itar-tass.com
