OSCE PA adopts Azerbaijan's, rejects Armenia`s proposal to draft resolution on mutual trust and co-operation in OSCE region

Minsk, July 7, AZERTAC At its session in Minsk, Belarus, the Committee on Political Affairs and Security of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly has adopted two proposals submitted by Azerbaijan to amend its " Enhancing mutual trust and co-operation for peace and prosperity in the OSCE region" draft resolution, and rejected a proposal put forward by Armenia. The committee adopted, by the majority of votes, OSCE PA Vice-President Azay Guliyev`s proposals on inviolability of territorial integrity, sovereignty and borders of countries involved in conflicts and on voluntary, safe and unimpeded return of internally displaced persons and refugees to their native lands in the OSCE region. The Armenian delegation`s proposal to include the principle of self-determination of peoples in the resolution was rejected by the committee. Emil Huseynli Special Correspondent
