OSCE/ODIHR election observation mission informed about run-up to presidential election in Azerbaijan

Baku, February 22, AZERTAC A delegation of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) Needs Assessment Mission (NAM) led by Alexander Shlyk have today met with Azerbaijan's Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Chair and Executive Secretary of the New Azerbaijan Party Ali Ahmadov who informed them of the run-up to the presidential election to be held on April 11. Deputy PM Ahmadov expressed his confidence that the election will be conducted in a fair and transparent environment. Shlyk said ODIHR shows interest in the election process in Azerbaijan.
