Over past six months 70 Iranian prisoners have been transferred to Iran, Ambassador Mohsun Pakayin

Tehran, August 28 (AzerTAc). Over the past six months 70 Iranian prisoners have been transferred to Iran to serve rest of their sentences in Iranian jails, Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pakayin said. “35 Iranian inmates in Azerbaijan’s prisons will be transferred to Iran to serve the rest of their sentences in the country”, Pakayin added. He stated that more than 200 Iranian nationals are serving their sentences in Azerbaijan’s prisons. Most of the prisoners are in Azerbaijan’s jails on drug-related charges.
