Pakistanˈs Balochistsan Speaker Confers With Iranian Governor

Mashad, March 4, IRNA – Pakistanˈs Balochistan province parliament speaker conferred with Governor General of Razavi Khorasan here on Monday. According to the report of Razavi Khorasan governorate public relations office, Mohammad Hossein Forouzanmehr, in the meeting with Pakistani official, by referring to bilateral relations level, said that mutual ties between the two countries have always been upon reciprocal interests. He added that both countries governments intent to develop relations in cultural, social, economic and political fields, so by siezing the opportunity, the two countries should take steps toward promotion of ties. Referring to existence of holy shrine of Imam Reza (PBUH) in Mashad, Forouzanmehr called the place as the most huge cultural capacity of the country with annual 30 million pilgrims, 1.5 million of whom are foreigners. He added that the province has plenty of capacities in the fields of tourism, industry, mine and agriculture. Concerning situations of Iranian kidnapped border guards, the governor said that it is expected that Pakistan government follow up the case seriously. Pakistanˈs Balochistan province parliament speaker Mohammad Khan Jamali expressed pleasure with being in Mashad and said that unpleasant incidents in the border area of Iran and Pakistan are out of intention of Pakistanˈs government and nation and are causes by world arrogant powers to create disunity among Muslims and tension between neighbors. He underlined serious follow up of the case by Pakistanˈs officials to return Iranian border guards and added that Pakistan itself is a victim of terrorism and has paid a high prices for fight against it. The speaker called for development of economics exchanges with the Razavi Khorasan province in the fields of energy and transportation./end
