Pakistan Condemns Thursday US Drone Attack

Islamabad, Nov 21, IRNA - Pakistan on Thursday strongly condemned the latest US drone strike that killed at least eight students and teachers of a religious school. Eight students were also injured in the Thursday morning strike, security sources said, adding that targeted seminary was linked to the Haqqani Network and deputy of the group was among those killed in the attack. “These strikes are violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the Foreign Ministry spokesman said in a statement. He said the Government of Pakistan has been announced its concern over the drone strikes to the US Administration and the United Nations. The statement said these drone strikes have a negative impact on the government’s efforts to bring peace and stability to Pakistan and the region./end
