Pakistan Dismisses Indian Home Minister's Remarks On Infiltration

Islamabad, Oct. 24,IRNA – Pakistan on Tuesday dismissed as ‘baseless and unfounded’ remarks by Indian Home Minister, Sushil Kumar Shinde, that Islamabad is 'helping terrorists' enter Indian territory. Shinde also claimed on Monday that India has information that Pakistan is helping terrorists to enter Indian and that India is on alert. Pakistan angrily rejected the Indian claim and asked the Indian minister to share information with Pakistan. “We totally reject these allegations and insinuations,” the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said. “They are totally baseless and unfounded. Such unsubstantiated statements are not very helpful in creating a conducive environment necessary for improving the relationship between our two countries,” a statement said. The Spokesman also said that if the Indian Home Minister has any information or evidence, he is most welcome to share it with Pakistani authorities. Responding to some media reports about remarks made by the Indian Home Minister regarding “Pakistan helping terrorists to infiltrate into India”, the Spokesman said that Pakistan and India, the traditional arch-rivals, routinely exchange charges against each other despite recent improvement in relationship. New Delhi accuse Pakistan of infiltration into its administered Kashmir while Islamabad blames India for unrest in its southwestern Balochistan province.
