Pakistan Lawmaker: Islamic Revolution, Source Of Inspiration For Entire Muslim World

Islamabad, Feb 2, IRNA -- A Pakistani lawmaker said on Friday that Islamic Revolution of Iran is the source of inspiration for entire Muslim world. Talking to IRNA, Senator Zafar Ali Shah of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz paid homage to Imam Khomeini for his role in leading the Iranian nation in difficult times. Special ceremonies to celebrate the 34th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran kicked off nationwide Thursday morning. The first day of the ten-day long ceremonies coincides with the anniversary of the returning home of the late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini from exile. Expressing his views, Senator Zafar Ali Shah said that Islamic Revolution of Iran is the worldˈs most effective revolution. “Despite the conspiracies of US and the West, the revolution has flourished in Iran in the past 34 years which is itself a great achievement,” said the Parliamentarian. The political leader said that Islamic Revolution is getting stronger with each passing day. He said that the revolution reflects the true spirit of Islam. Paying homage to Imam Khomeini, the Pakistani Senator said that Imam Khomeini was not only a religious leader, but also a great politician of the twentieth century. ˈHe led the Iranian nation in difficult times,ˈ said Zafar Ali Shah. The politician said it is due to the teachings of Imam Khomeini that Iranian nation is fully devoted towards the Islamic Revolution. ˈIt would be correct to say that Imam Khomeini is the most successful politician of the world,ˈ he said. Zafar Ali Shah is of the opinion that western countries cannot shake the resolve of the Iranian nation towards the Islamic revolution by exerting pressure on the Islamic Republic. While congratulating the Iranian nation on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, he said that the entire Muslim Ummah should get united by following the philosophy of Islamic Revolution./end
