Pakistan Violates Ceasefire Again, Fifth Time In Last 3 Days

New Delhi, Aug 12, IRNA - Escalating border tension, Pakistani troops Monday violated the ceasefire for the fifth time in the last three days by targeting Indian posts along the LoC in Poonch district in Jammu with mortar shells, rockets and small arms firing. Indian troops, guarding the borderline, took positions and retaliated resulting in heavy exchanges. It was yet another ceasefire violation by Pakistan, pti reported Quoting Defense Spokesman S N Acharya. There was no loss of life or injury in the Pakistani firing, Acharya said. There have been 57 cases of ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops this year from January 1 to August 5, which is 80 per cent more than those in the corresponding period last year./end
