Pakistan Violates Ceasefire Twice Along LoC

New Delhi, Sept 10, IRNA - Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire along the LoC in two forward areas of Jammu district and targeted Indian posts with small arms and medium machine guns this evening. There was firing by Pakistan Army on Indian forward posts in two areas along Line of Control in Jammu district from 1720 hours IST (Indian Standard Time), Defence Spokesman S N Acharya said in Srinagar, pti reported. There was no report of loss of life or injury. The firing incident has taken place on the heels of sniper firing from across the border on an observation post of Border Security Force (BSF) along International Border in Jammu Sunday. BSF troops retaliated effectively, the spokesman said. There has been over 90 cases of ceasefire violation by the Pakistani troops from January 1. Six jawans were killed and 13 people injured in ceasefire violations and firing by Pakistani troops in forward posts, civilian areas and patrol parties along the border in over a month./end
