Pakistani Analyst Hails Success Of Islamic Revolution

Islamabad, Feb 2, IRNA -- Pakistani independent analyst on Thursday said that Islamic Revolution has been flourishing in Iran for past 34 years despite western efforts to weaken the Islamic Republic. Talking to IRNA, Prof. Hasan Askari Rizvi said that Iran has moved far ahead since the success of Islamic Revolution in 1979. ˈAt that time there was uncertainty, but today the political system and economic situation of Iran is stable,ˈ he said. Special ceremonies to celebrate the 34th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran kicked off nationwide Thursday morning. The first day of the ten-day long ceremonies coincides with the anniversary of return home of the Late Founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini from exile. Hasan Askari Rizvi was of the view that there is no longer the fear that the system in Iran would run into difficulties as it has shown flexibility and adjustment to the demands of the post-revolution generation that seems to be interested in global interaction because of modern communication technology. “But they have met this challenge quite comfortably and adequately, despite strong American pressure to contain the political system in Iran and its development efforts especially the nuclear program,ˈ Hasan Askari Rizvi said. The analyst went on to say that Iran has withstood all the western pressures to weaken the Islamic Revolution. He said that Founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini is the symbol of revolution for the Iranian nation. “He evokes voluntary reverence in the Iranian society.” Expressing his views, the intellectual said the people of Iran are fully devoted to the teachings of Imam Khomeini. “So he is the most towering personality and strongest symbol in Iran.” Hasan Askari Rizvi said Imam Khomeini is the most powerful unity factor and main source of guidance not only for Iranian people, but also for the entire Muslim world.
