Pakistani Editor Welcomes Ayatollah Khamenei Statement

Islamabad, Nov 13, IRNA – A Pakistani editor on Saturday said that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has truly represented sentiments of the people of Iran. He was referring to the statement of the Supreme leader that Iran would give a crushing response to any aggression. Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks during a graduation ceremony of the Army cadets. Talking to IRNA Mujibur Rehman Shami, Editor of daily ‘Pakistan’ said that Iran has every right to defend itself. He was confident that Iran is fully capable to respond any aggression. “No country will attack Iran and if it happens Iran would give a befitting response,” he added. The journalist said Pakistan is against any kind of aggression on Iran and would stand by Iran in difficult time. The editor strongly believed that Iran is fully capable to tackle any untoward situation. He noted that the west had imposed an eight-year war on Iran but failed to destabilize Islamic Republic. Mujibur Rehman Shami was of the opinion that Iran is a sovereign state and has right to pursue an independent policy. Supreme leader stressed that “the enemies, the US, its allies and the Zionist regime in particular, should take it into consideration that the Iranian nation is not to attack any country or nation rather is to strongly react to any aggression or threat so that the aggressors and attackers would collapse from inside.” “The Iranian nation will not remain only as a viewer of the threats of the absurd materialistic powers,” said the Supreme Leader, adding, “Only a nation with a stable power of self-defense can survive in a world where unfortunately relations among nations and countries are based on power of weapons.” Mujib ur Rahman Shami is a senior journalist and currently chief editor of daily ‘Pakistan’./end
