Pakistani MP, Son Killed In Karachi

Islamabad, June 22, IRNA – A provincial lawmaker of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and his son were gunned down on Friday in port city of Karachi, police said. Police said, unidentified assailants opened fire on Sajid Qureshi, a member of the Sindh Assembly and his 26-year old son when they came out of a mosque after Friday prayers in cityˈs North Nazimabad area. He was elected from PS-106 constituency of the Sindh Assembly. The dead bodies have been shifted to a nearby hospital. President Asif Ali Zardari and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain strongly condemned the assassinations./end
