Pakistani MP Welcomes Iran’s N-deal

Islamabad, Dec 19, IRNA – A member of Pakistani Parliament on Wednesday welcomed Iran’s nuclear deal adding that steadfastness of the Islamic Republic has forced the western states to accept country’s nuclear right. Talking to IRNA Senator Tahir Hussain Mashhadi praised the role of Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in signing the deal and said that the foreign minister has given new trend to Iranian diplomacy. “Nuclear deal is the success of Iranian foreign policy,” he viewed. He said that Iranian Foreign Minister has not allowed West to violate the sovereignty of Iran in nuclear talks and also convinced the West that Iran is a peaceful country and wants to work closely with all countries of the world. “Iran has never opted the path of confrontation,” he said. The senator went on to say that development of peaceful nuclear technology is the right of Iran which nobody can deny. Mashhadi expressing his views said that Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has issued a religious decree against the development and use of nuclear weapons. The political leader went on to say that Iran is developing nuclear technology for the betterment of humanity. “I think that Iran’s stand has been vindicated in nuclear talks,” noted the Senator. The lawmaker warned that US recent moves against Iran could harm the implementation of the nuclear deal. “It is the defining movement and US should realize the sensitivity of the matter,” he noted. Mashhadi added that US should release the Iranian money, freezed illegally in US banks, as a trust building measure. He added that as Iran is ready to cooperate with West so what is the need for imposing sanctions on the Islamic republic. “US should immediately remove sanctions from Iran,” he demanded. The Senator replying to a question about D-8 ministerial conference in Islamabad said that the meeting would open new vistas of cooperation among the group members. He said the world has turned into a global village and no country in world can stay in isolation. The MP said that D-8 is a very important group and its members should work closely for their development. He added that D-8 group can uplift the standard of lives of their people by close cooperation. “They must depend upon their own resources instead of looking for any foreign aid,” opined the legislator. Mashhadi urged D-8 members to explore their potential to the maximum level for stability, economic development and peaceful coexistence of their regions./end
