Pakistani Religious Leader Censures US For Disturbing World Peace

Islamabad, Nov 4, IRNA - Central leader of Pakistan’s top religious party on Friday held US responsible for disturbing world peace adding that the country has to stop following anti-Islam policies. Speaking to IRNA, Secretary General of the Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Liaqat Baloch said that for past many years US and its allies have been trying to destabilize the Islamic Revolution but failed to accomplish their satanic designs against Iran. He said that Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has correctly pointed out that the US government has been involved in a variety of anti-Iran campaign in the past 34 years since the victory of the Islamic Revolution. The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a meeting with thousands of Iranian students on the eve of National Students Day (November 3rd.) Liaqat Baloch added that Iranian nation under the guidance of Imam Khomeini had reached their destiny. The religious leader was of the view that since the victory of Iran's Islamic Revolution, US has been making all out efforts to weaken Iran. “US had to face shameful defeat after the Iranian nation toppled the government of a US backed tyrant ruler,” said the JI leader. He went on to say that Father of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini had crossed all the obstacles in the success of Islamic Revolution and defeated the imperialist government of US. He added that US was responsible for disturbing world peace. “The world is fed up of the anti-Islam and anti-human policies of the United States,” he opined. Liaqat Baloch added that the US was following policy of double standards on all issues. He pointed out that the US was behind all conspiracies against Muslims, just to please Zionists. The Supreme Leader of iran has also said that, ‘They (US) are very submitted to Zionists,’ adding that this was very shameful that the US presidential candidates try to win the support of the Zionists. Commenting over the Supreme Leader’s statement, Liaqat Baloch said it was evident that the US foreign policy was being controlled by the Zionists. He added that the Islamic Revolution of iran has been source of inspiration behind the Islamic movements in the Arab world. “The Islamic Revolution had shown the right path to Muslims,” stressed the JI leader. He said that the Iranian leaders have proved that western conspiracies could not shake their steadfastness. He asked all Muslim countries to support Iran in fighting the western schemes against the Islamic Ummah./end
