Palestinian official: Time ripe for Israel to pay for its crimes

Ramallah, Nov 18, IRNA – Palestinian Deputy Minister for Prisoners' Affairs Ziad Abu Ein has said time is ripe for the Zionist regime to pay for its crimes including taking Palestinians' lands and stealing their resources. Speaking to IRNA, the Palestinian official warned against the threat posed to the Palestinians following the decision made by Israeli authorities to occupy another 1,800 sqkm of Palestinians' lands in southern al-Khalil, West bank. Referring to the decision as a provocative act, Abu Ein said it was made for military purposes. He said Tel Aviv has shrugged off international community's criticisms against its settlement construction projects in the city of Al-Quds and the West bank (area E 1). Abu Ein warned that settlement construction in E1 is aimed at making the creation of a contiguous Palestinian State practically impossible because the move would block routes linking West Bank districts to its adjacent areas. The Palestinian Authority would never accept such violations and would liberate the occupied lands from the Israeli grip, he stated. He noted that the Palestinian Authority would follow up the Israeli aggressive moves by taking serious practical measures and forcing them to pay for the stealing of the Palestinian lands./end
