Palestinian Resistance Despaired Zionists: Envoy

Tehran, Sept 10, IRNA - Palestinian Ambassador to Tehran Salah Zawawi said here on Wednesday that the resistance toward Israeli regime has created desperation among the Zionists. Zawawi made the remarks on the sidelines of the International Conference of Islamic Ulema to Voice Support for the Palestinian Resistance Movement. He said the Islamic thinkers and scholars are the heirs of the prophets, adding that they shoulder the heavy duty for safeguarding Muslims worldwide and the Al-Aqsa Holy Mosque. The Palestinian envoy also said that holding the conference would play a pivotal role for encouraging the Islamic countries for combating the Zionist regime. The International conference of Islamic Ulema to Voice Support for the Palestinian Resistance Movement opened in Tehran on Tuesday. Iranian high-ranking officials, Palestinian activists and Muslim scholars from across the world are attending the event. The two-day conference has been organized by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought./end
