Paris Hosts Exhibit Of Iran Painterˈs Works

Tehran, Jan 27, IRNA – An exhibition of artworks by Iranian painter Davood Qanbari, opened in Paris Sunday and will continue until January 31. The inaugural ceremony was attended by Iranian expatriates in France and the French interested in Iranian art and culture. Qanabri who has been living in France since 40 years ago has so far held several exhibitions of his artworks. Referring to the impact of Iranian-Islamic mysticism and spirituality on his works, Qanbari said that interest in Iran and its rich culture and art was always a source of inspiration in his paintings. Describing painting as a means for expressing sentiments and forge communications with other people, he said that he uses the art to underline solidarity among human beings and existence of common feelings among people from various nations and communities./end
