Parliament’s Confidence Vote Session To 3 Mins. Gets Wide Media Coverage

Tehran, Oct 27, IRNA – The Iranian Parliament’s (Majlis) confidence vote session for the three proposed ministers is being widely covered by domestic and foreign media on Sunday. Over 300 journalists, correspondents, cameramen and photojournalists from various media and press bodies have attended the Sunday mornings open session of the parliament which is meeting to examine the credibility of three nominees proposed by President Hassan Rouhani to take over ministries of Education; Science, Research and Technology and Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs. The press and media bodies present in Majlis today's session to cover the occasion included the Associated Press, the Almayadeen TV network, Japan TV, Al-Jazeera TV network and the Almanar TV. President Rouhani has also attended Majlis to defend his nominees. The President, in a letter to the Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani on October 20, proposed Reza Faraji Dana, Ali Asghar Fani and Reza Salehi Amiri as ministers of Science, Research and Technology; Education and Sports and Youth Affairs respectively. Fani and Salehi Amiri are presently acting as caretakers of the two ministries of Education and Sports and Youth Affairs./end
