PARLIAMENTARIAN MEETS ADB COUNTRY DIRECTOR

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is planning to ratify the credit agreement with Mongolia at parliament because of alteration of the assistance level for the country. The ADB country director Mr Robert Schoellhammer Wednesday said it at a meeting with Z.Bayanselenge MP, a head of the Standing committee on social policy, education, culture and science. “We had been collaborating with the Mongolian government in projects and programmes on health, social welfare and education sectors before the aid level's change,” he noted, mentioning that the ADB implemented here 83 USD worth four projects on health sector and that it intends now to refine the E-system of health insurance system, set up a regulatory agency of demand and supply of medicines and medical products, reduce the drug misuse, improve the policies of hospitals and of first aid service, "moreover, to erect a model hospital in the city's Songinokhairkhan district, and to run training on hospital management improvement".
