PARLIAMENTARY RESOLUTION CLAUSE TO BE RECONSIDERED

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) group in parliament reached an agreement that Parliamentary resolution clause on transmission of big projects’ money through Mongolian banks should be reconsidered. Today, the party group chairman D.Khayankyarvaa made a briefing after the group’s meeting. “ – MPP group has been discussing the issue related to the International Monetary Fund program since yesterday and the MPs agreed that it is impossible to succeed without implementing the program. Therefore we have decided to reconsider the Parliamentary resolution clause, which followed the 2017 budget amendments. The Budgetary Standing Committee of parliament together with relevant standing committees will develop proposals regarding what changes could be made to the resolution. The Budgetary Standing Committee members met with some officials of Rio Tinto, talking about passing money from mining through domestic banks. Concerning the upcoming Presidential Election, it is better for the party to make a decision to please the society. However, the MPP group members reached an agreement to pay complete attention to reviving the economy. Talks will be held with IMF by May 20” said MP D.Khayankyarvaa. B.Ooluun
