Participants in intra-Syrian talks must not step over read line - Syrian diplomat

DAMASCUS, March 26. /TASS/. The participants in intra-Syrian talks must not step over the red line, because the main issue at stake is the future of Syria and its people, and also struggle with terrorism, Syria’s Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad told Russian media on Thursday. "The Russian delegation voiced some proposals that can be considered as a plan for forthcoming consultations in Moscow." "These proposals have not been approved yet (by the Syrian leadership - TASS), and the consultations are proceeding, Mekdad said. "We would like to put an end to this crisis as soon as possible. We hope that a political solution will bring us all to security and stability." "Everybody who may be taking part in these consultations should remember that the chief idea of the talks concerns the future of Syrian land and people, and also the struggle against terrorism," the senior diplomat said. "It is essential nobody should step over the red line at any future negotiations."
