PG Sustainable Security Achieved Only Through Regional Co-op : Official

Tehran, Dec 15, IRNA – Advisor to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Brigadier General Yahya Rahim Safavi said that sustainable security in the Persian Gulf is available only through cooperation among regional countries. Talking to reporters on Saturday, he stressed that attaining development and progress in the region calls for a collective effort on the part of the eight Persian Gulf littoral countries. He underlined that the Islamic Republic of Iran is the axis and main pillar of the regional security and development. Safavi also stressed that Iran is a powerful country with a political system based on religious democracy. The brigadier general further said that Iran enjoys the highest degree of influence in the world scale with regards to establishment of regional peace and security./end
