PM lauds Russia’s strategic partnership with Vietnam

HANOI, November 19. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, who is currently on an official visit to Vietnam, has held a meeting with the country’s President and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong. Vietnam’s head of state pointed out that he had the warmest memories of his recent visit to Russia. "Your visit is taking place in a period when relations between our countries are progressing in a very positive way," he added. Medvedev agreed, adding that "relations between our countries are those of strategic partnership." "I hope that the visit will help boost our ties," he noted. "It is a good thing that meetings between our governments have been taking place on a regular basis. It guarantees that relations will remain friendly.
