PM to meet Thai business operators in Paris

PARIS, June 23 (TNA) -- Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha will later Saturday meet Thai business entrepreneurs residing in France before holding talks with French President Emmanuel Macron, according to a Thai Prime Minister’s Office deputy spokesman. Gen Prayuth will meet Thai business operators in France and with Thai businessmen who travelled with him for visits to Britain and France, the deputy spokesman said. The scheduled talks with Thai business operators are significant because the prime minister could raise their business problems during his discussions with Mr Macron, he said. Gen Prayuth will later in the day meet Thai community staying in France, the deputy spokesman said. A group of Thais residing in Paris welcomed Gen Prayuth upon his arrival in the French capital on Friday night and asked him to stay in his post as long as possible in order to help solve problems for the Thais. In reply, Gen Prayuth told them that everybody has a responsibility in solving problems for the country and if they confront with any problems, they should inform the Thai embassy so that help could be given. The prime minister told them they would be surprised if they return to Thailand because the country has developed tremendously. (TNA)
