PM meets specialists from international organizations

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag convened Tuesday experts and specialists from some international organizations and Embassies to share views on implementation of the law on ensuring gender equality and relevant governmental document. The meeting brought together the Ambassador of Canada to Mongolia; managers and authorities of the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, UNDP, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). The Premier said that the cabinet adopted a middle-term strategic document on the gender equality after having discussed it at the cabinet meeting. The government participated in realization of this document and is seeking an assistance from donor organizations, he said. "Gender is not all about women's equality, this is also related to problems and rights of men. Our government's attitude to the gender issues has changed," he noted.
