PM SEES PRODUCTS MADE BY CONTESTANTS OF “WORLDSKILLS”

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag Tuesday got au fait with products made by pupils and teachers who advanced to the 2nd phase of the “Mongolian skills-2014” national contest. The exhibition displays souvenirs, mines rescuing facilities and wood works. The contestants organized this measure to ensure a preparation for competing in the “WorldSkills” international contest. Selected pupils will be trained in South Korea for six months. Mongolia has become a 69th member of the WorldSkills International Organization in order to prepare professional skilled workers based on the market needs, to challenge skills and knowledge of teachers and pupils by refining a vocational training system, to propagandize them worldwide, to learn experiences of other countries. The national contest runs in two stages with nine professions. The WorldSkills is a skills competition, jobs and careers event held in a member country every two years. It is a competition for youth from 17 to 22 years to demonstrate their excellence in skilled professions. The competition is promoted and managed by WorldSkills International, formerly known as the International Vocation Training Organization (IVTO). The forthcoming competition will take place 2015 in Brazil.
