PM to visit Mae Hong Son

BANGKOK, Jan 14 (TNA) - Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha will visit people in the northern province of Mae Hong Son this Wednesday. Government Spokesperson Lt-General Sansern Kaewkamnerd said the aim of the visit is to explore ways to raise standard of living of people in poverty stricken Mae Hong Son. According to the spokesman, the government is finding ways to develop Mae Hong Son by promoting more direct flights, develop farming and farm products and promoting tourism.More healthcare personnel will be increased to meet local demand. During the visit, Gen. Prayut is scheduled to witness presentation of certificates to poor farmers, selected to join the land allocation project. He will preside over a meeting on the provincial development strategy and visit locals and tourist destinations. (TNA)
