BANGKOK, May 11 (TNA) - The Centre for the Administration of Peace and Order (CAPO) is preparing to dispatch a special police task force to arrest 51 anti-government protest leaders, said CAPO secretary Tharit Pengdit on Sunday. Mr. Tharit, also director-general of Department of Special Investigation, said he is confident the court would Monday issue warrants for the arrest of 51 leaders of anti-government People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC), including its secretary-general Suthep Thaugsuban, core leaders Issara Somchai and Thavorn Senneam. Mr.Tharit said in a fresh CAPO announcement demanding PDRC protesters, politicians and the movement supporters to stop illegal activities including a PDRC demand for an appointment of a neutral premier under Article 7 of the Constitution. The demand, he said would cause a “violence” in the country. (TNA)
