Police Guard Semarang Prison Following ISIS Rejection Declaration

Semarang, C Java, Aug 27 (Antara) - Police personnel have been deployed to guard the Class I Kedungpane prison, Semarang, following an inmate`s planned declaration to reject Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) on Wednesday. Semarang Police Chief Senior Commissary Djihartono leads the police personnel guarding the inside and outside of the city`s class I prison facility. The prison`s Security Officer Chief Maliki confirmed that the ISIS rejection declaration will be conducted indoors within the prison compound by the inmates. Maliki has not yet been able to comment further on the declaration event`s details. According to information, the declaration will be carried out by a Kedungpane`s terrorist convict Abu Tholut. Abu Tholut alias Ibnu Muhammad alias Agus Hamzah was evidently involved in organizing a paramilitary training camp in Jalin Janto, Aceh Besar, Nangroe Aceh Darussalam. Abu Tholut had also been convicted of illegal possession of many firearms, namely M16, AK47, and handguns. West Jakarta District Court had sentenced Abu Tholut to eight years in prison in October 2011. Tholut was involved in terrorism and criminal acts after being appointed by the terrorist convict and spiritual leader extremist network, Abu Bakar Ba`asyir, as the tadrib (troop) leader to hold a military training camp in Aceh.
