Polish envoy hopes Moscow talks will be fruitful

TEHRAN, June 12 (MNA) – The Polish ambassador to Tehran said that he is hopeful that Iran and the six major powers can find a solution to Iran’s nuclear issue at the next round of their negotiations. Iran and the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) held a new round of talks in Baghdad on May 23 and 24 and agreed to continue their negotiations over Tehran’s nuclear program in Moscow on June 18 and 19. “We hope that a solution would be worked out to Iran’s nuclear issue at the Moscow talks,” Ambassador Juliusz Jacek Gojlo told on Monday. Commenting on the Syrian crisis, he said that the Polish government’s policy is to support Kofi Annan’s plan for Syria. Annan, the UN-Arab League joint special envoy on Syria, has put forward a six-point peace plan for ending the crisis in Syria, which calls for a UN-supervised ceasefire by all parties, the withdrawal of soldiers and heavy weapons from cities, and the delivery of humanitarian assistance. The Polish diplomat added that his government supports any solution to the Syrian crisis which is supported by the international community.
