PREMIER MEETS ILO DELEGATION

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister of Mongolia N.Altankhuyag Tuesday received a delegation led by Mr Yoshiteru Uramato, a Regional Director of the International Labour Organization (ILO) for Asia Pacific. The sides exchanged views on chances to involve Mongolia in projects and programmes which focuse on competitive responsible industrialization and on promotion of skills for specializing the economy and trade. These issues had been discussed by the Premier during his participation in the ILO Summit this June in Geneva of Switzerland. Mr Uramato pointed out that the ILO can implement projects and programmes for the industries of cashmere, wool and agricultural products in Mongolia in order to improve the potential of small- and middle-sized businessmen and to regulate the ties between employers and employees. The ILO projects and programmes will contribute to empowering the small- and middle-sized productions and to specializing the national economy, the Premier said and emphasized that the government supported a proposal of the ILO and will collaborate with the trade unions and employers’ bodies in creating the Mongolian participation in the projects and programmes.
