Premier meets Yang Jiechi

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag received Thursday Mr Yang Jiechi, State Councilor of the People's Republic of China (PRC) who is paying an official visit to Mongolia. China is ready to develop the mutually beneficial relations and cooperation with Mongolia, respecting Mongolia’s sovereignty, independence and its developmental path, Mr Yang said. He said his country has a proposal for Mongolia to work out long- and middle-term programmes of the bilateral strategic relations. Accepting the proposal, Mr Altankhuyag emphasized that these programmes may become a chance to keep the comprehensible, sustainable and progressive bilateral cooperation in many spheres. Mr Yang mentioned that China has been running an agricultural reform by intensifying the industrialization and urbanization, and said an opportunity exits to collaborate in realizing the reform policy of Mongolia's government. He also suggested that projects are launched based on the two countries’ capabilities and able to bring achievements in the biggest projects such as the Tavan tolgoi and Oyu tolgoi. The Premier underlined that the two countries have opportunities to deepen the cooperation in the road, construction, energy and infrastructure sectors and to collaborate in other fields. Saying that his visit has confirmed the Mongolia-China friendly cooperation, Mr Yang invited the Prime Minister of Mongolia to visit China in near future.
