PREMIER RECEIVES REPORTS ON URGENT MATTERS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On Monday, the Premier S.Batbold called several officials to receive the latest information on fuels price soar and connected with it matters. According to D.Amarsaikhan, a head of the Oil Authority, the price of fuels had not been increased in thelast last three months thanks to the cabinet's regulation in excise tax policy. “But this time, the increase cannot be avoided because of U.S dollar rate increase against the Mongolian togrog, they say. It stood at 1,345 when they imported fuel in December of 2011, now it reached MNT 1,480 last Friday,” he said. “You say that in January of 2009, the fuel price reached 1,900 togrogs when the rate of dollar went up to 1,740 togrogs, but did you investigate changes in the border price and in rates of U.S dollars that time? I wonder why the importers set various prices and on different days,” the Premier asked. "They vary because of the enterprisers' expenditures and/or competitiveness, but we are studying the situation," Amarsaikhan replied. The a report gave the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry T.Badamjunai. “Wehave managed to reserve 16,300 tons of meat instead of 16 thousand tons. The meat supply is normal,” Badamjunai assured. The Vice Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy T.Enkhtaivan said the coal price will not change and that it reserves are enough. The Vice Minister of Road, Transportation, Construction and Urban Development T.Purevdorj said the prices of apartments are MNT 850 thousand per one square meter, fixed by the Housing and Financing Corporation. The Ministers of education and of health said prices at their spheres are not expected to rise. The Premier said he intends to find out all the reasons of the price soar and to punish the guilty ones. Then he set up two working groups so that they investigate the price increase and meat reserve works. These groups are headed by B.Darinchuluun, a head of the Investigation and monitoring section of the Cabinet Secretariatm and by Z.Batbayar, a senior expert of the section. B.Khuder
