Pres Aide: Israel trying to present negative image of nuclear deal

Tehran, Nov 9, IRNA – Concurrent with achieving a nuclear agreement, the Zionist regime has intensified its efforts to convince the world public opinion that any agreement with Iran is bad, President’s Advisor in Cultural Affairs Hesamoddin Ashena said here Saturday. “To counter to the Zionist regime's efforts to convince everyone that any agreement (with Iran) is bad, Iran has designed a campaign propagating that agreement is better than dispute,” said Ashena on the sidelines of a visit of 2014 International Tehran Media and News Agencies Exhibition. “Unfortunately, some Iranian media due to their ignorance and inappropriate orientations damaged the success probability of Iran’s campaign,” he added. Ashena said that the path of dialogue has not been blocked yet and both sides are optimistic about achieving an agreement, but neither side has any commitments to keep regarding the other side. “In the path towards achieving that agreement the Islamic Republic of Iran is after lowering the costs and presently a power struggle between Iran and the 5+1G is taking place,” he said. Zarif, Ashton and Kerry are scheduled to have a trilateral meeting on Sunday, whose agenda includes preparing the ground for the upcoming Iran-G5+1 (UN Security Council Big 5 plus German), according to IRNA’s dispatched reported to Muscat. The talks will focus on disputes between the two parties, mainly about enrichment, lifting of sanctions and duration of agreement. Iranian deputy foreign ministers Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht-Ravanchi as well as senior members of Iran nuclear negotiating team, US Secretary of State John Kerry and his undersecretary William Joseph Burns, senior advisor to the US secretary of state, and Wendy Ruth Sherman, the US envoy to the G5+1, will be present in the talks. Oman trilateral nuclear talks will be held on Sunday and Monday, November 9 and 10, and according to Araqchi, on the third day, Tuesday, November 11, the Iran-G5+1 talks will begin here in Muscat, which might take a day or longer./end
