Pres. of French Senate due in Tehran next week

TEHRAN, Oct. 26 (MNA) – President of the French Senate Gerard Larcher will pay an official visit to Tehran by next week. During his visit to Tehran, Larcher plans to meet Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani, who is expected to visit Paris within the next three weeks. He will also visit Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani. The French official has previously described his expectant meeting with the Iranian president as being very significant, adding that his discussions with Iranian officials would focus on the latest developments in Lebanon. He also added that French President Francois Hollande will host his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani in November. Back in July, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius visited Tehran, where he conveyed the invitation from Hollande to Rouhani.
