Presidentˈs Upcoming Visit To Baghdad To Help Deepen Ties

Tehran, July 16, IRNA – Spokesman of Foreign Ministry Abbas Araqchi said Tuesday that an upcoming visit to Iraq by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will help deepen bilateral ties. Speaking to reporters at his weekly press conference, Araqchi said the visit will take place upon an official invitation by Iraqˈs President Jalal Talabani over a year ago. The spokesman said President Talabani's ill-health was the main cause of delay of President Ahmadinejadˈs visit to Iraq. The President is to visit Baghdad on Wednesday./end
