President-elect Rohani, Tunisian President Talk On Phone

Tehran, July 14, IRNA – President-elect Hassan Rohani, in a telephone conversation with Tunisian President Moncef al-Marzouki, said Iran opposes to any kind of war, conflict and bloodshed among Muslims in any place of the world. According to the President-elect Office website, Tunisian President, in his call on Saturday afternoon, felicitated election of Hassan Rohani and advent of fasting month of Ramadan and called for Iran’s help to secure a ceasefire in Syria during the month of Ramadan. Rohani said that all Muslim countries should try to prevent war, bloodshed among Muslims and Iran will do its utmost in this concern. He also expressed hope that developments in Egypt provide interests of people, adding that decision of Egyptian people should be respected by all. Rohani expressed satisfaction over growing trend of relations between the two countries on bilateral, regional, and international levels and said that Iran has no limitation for its ties with Tunisia. He wished success for all Muslim states, including Tunisia, during the fasting month of Ramadan adding that all should try to remove problems of the Islamic world and create unity among Islamic Umma. Moncef al-Marzouki welcomed viewpoints of Rohani and expressed hope to be able to meet president-elect soon to consolidate and develop mutual ties./end
