President: Geneva Achievement Is Beyond Nuclear Issue

Bushehr, Dec 1, IRNA – President Hassan Rohani, by referring to active diplomacy of his government in the recent weeks, said that Geneva achievement is beyond nuclear issue and the world is now looking differently at Iran. Speaking in Bushehr province administrative council meeting on Saturday evening, President Rohani said interaction is a reciprocal issue and means that when we take one step, the world would take another step and people will witness effects of the interaction in the upcoming months. He continued that the first nuclear power plant is located in Bushehr province and upon the planning, the second one would be constructed in this province, too. Referring to Irans foreign policy during the 11th government, President Rohani said that effects of constructive interaction with the world will be seen in the future. Rohani, by referring to joint gas field of South Pars with Qatar, promised that at the end of four years of his government, Iran will exploit more gas than our neighbor. The president said that 10 gas phases are being exploited in Assalouyeh, with a revenue of approximately 40 billion dollars. If all phases of this region reach full exploitation, its revenue will reach around 100 billion dollars, which is a very considerable figure for the province, said the president. President Rohani also visited quake-stricken area in Borazjan city and ordered related officials for prompt assistance. He also ordered that owners of demolished buildings be given 250-million-rial loans with long term payment and low interest and 50 million rials be given to quake-stricken people, gratis. Rohani and his accompanying delegation visited quake-stricken people in a hospital in the city of Bushehr on Saturday. An earthquake measuring 5.7 on Richter scale on Thursday afternoon and then 39 aftershocks jolted the area until Saturday morning./end
