President Hails Iraqi Nationˈs Unity Against Terrorist Groups

Khorramabad, Lorestan Prov, June 18, IRNA – President Hassan Rouahni on Wednesday hailed Iraqi nationˈs unity against terrorist groups. Speaking to a gathering of people in Lorestan province, he noted that many Iranians have asked to go to Iraq as volunteers to sacrifice their lives in the course of defending the holy sites against the raids of Daesh(the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) terrorist group. Meanwhile, he added, all the Iraqi Sunnis, Shias and Kurds have been united to defend their country and holy sites. Pointing to the ongoing talks between Tehran and G5+1, he noted that if the international community recognizes Iranˈs right for peaceful use of nuclear energy, Tehran will take the final step towards resolution of the issue. The President underlined that Iran is committed to increase interactions with the world particularly its neighbors. He promised to continue its efforts to preserve Iranˈs rights for peaceful use of nuclear energy and in the meantime to remove anti-Iran illegal sanctions. The government will continue its efforts to control the inflation and improve the public services, he added. He underlined the need for regional cooperation to resolve environmental problems. President Rouhani arrived in this western provincial capital city this morning on his 5th provincial visit. During his two-day visit, President Rouhani is to meet local residents, officials and war veterans. He has so far visited Khuzestan, Hormuzgan, Sistan and Baluchestan and Ilam provinces./end
