President Hails Victory Of Wrestlers In US World Cup

Tehran, March 17, IRNA - President Hassan Rouhani in a message on Monday congratulated the Iranian nation, particularly the atheletes on the championship of the national freestyle wrestling team at the 2014 Freestyle Wrestling World Cup in the US. “The victory of Iran’s national freestyle wrestling team in the 2014 Freestyle Wrestling World Cup in the US proves the athletic traits of the zealous and diligent Iranian youth in the international arena,” President Rouhani wrote in his message. The President further prayed for more victories of Iranian athletes in the international competitions. Iran’s national freestyle wrestling team has been crowned following impressive performances and emphatic victories at the 2014 Freestyle Wrestling World Cup in the United States. On Sunday evening, the Iranian outfit stood in the first position after it won over the Russian outfit 4-2. Iran had mightily overwhelmed Armenia 8-0, Turkey 7-1, the US 5-3 and India outfit 8-0 earlier./end
